This is where it all begins

In 2020, Seah Liang Chiang, Founder and Director of Tiny Pod, set out to build a tiny house in Johor as a personal weekend retreat. What began as a DIY passion project soon took an unexpected turn. By Friday, January 17, the idea had evolved into a business — and Singapore’s first hotel made from upcycled shipping containers was born.

Since then, Seah’s entrepreneurial journey has been unstoppable. His vision has always extended beyond simply providing a place to stay. Through Tiny Pod, he strives to create unique, awe-inspiring experiences that guests will remember and return to, while championing sustainability and giving new life to unconventional spaces through innovative upcycling.
